Atheos

Run a lightweight, web-based IDE with minimal server requirements.

Visit Atheos

Atheos is an open source, web-based IDE and code editor built on top of Codiad by Fluidbyte. It targets development environments where a lightweight, browser-accessible editor is preferred over larger desktop applications, running on your own server with a minimal installation that requires Apache2, PHP, and basic read/write access, with no database requirement.

The interface consists of three panels: a left panel for file and project management, a split-able center panel for editors, and a hidden right panel for system, plugin, and other controls. Features include support for 40+ languages, a plugin library and marketplace, error checking and notifications, multiple user support, real-time collaborative editing, smart auto-complete, advanced searching tools, screen splitting, LocalStorage redundancy, quick-download backups, 20+ syntax color themes, i18n language support, and customizable source. It runs in modern browsers including Chrome, Firefox, and IE9+.

Atheos is open source and self-hosted, with source files available for download or cloning from GitHub. No pricing, trial, or edition details are indicated.
