Arroyo
Cloud-native stream processing.
Arroyo is a stateful stream processing engine written in Rust that lets users build real-time streaming pipelines using analytical SQL. It runs as a single compact binary locally on macOS or Linux, or in Docker and Kubernetes, and is designed to operate in elastic cloud environments while maintaining exactly-once processing semantics.
The engine supports time windows (sliding, tumbling, and session), streaming joins (left, outer, inner, and full), over 300 SQL functions, and user-defined functions written in Rust. It natively reads and writes JSON, Avro, Parquet, and raw text and binary formats, and ships with connectors for sources and sinks including Kafka, Kinesis, Postgres, MySQL, Redis, MQTT, NATS, WebSocket, Server-Sent Events, HTTP polling, webhooks, Confluent Cloud, Delta Lake, Iceberg, and more. Pipelines are managed through a Web UI and a REST API.
Arroyo is released under the Apache 2.0 license and is self-hostable.
