Adventure Game Studio (AGS) is open-source, standalone software for creating graphical point-and-click adventure games. It provides a Windows-based IDE that brings together tools for importing graphics, writing scripts, and testing games, allowing developers to build games with custom graphics, sound, and gameplay mechanics without extensive programming knowledge. Games made with AGS can be played on multiple platforms, including Linux, iOS, and Android.

The engine supports resolutions from 256-color 320×200 up to high-resolution true-color games, and handles multimedia formats including mod, wav, xm, MIDI, ogg, mp3, and avi.
