Visit Zulip

Zulip is an open-source team chat application that organizes conversations by topic, helping distributed and flexible teams catch up on unread messages and reply in context. It is available as a hosted cloud service or as self-hosted software, allowing organizations to choose between convenience and full control over their data.

The platform includes topic-based threading, channels, message history search, file sharing, voice and video calls through configurable providers, collaborative messages, polls, and to-do lists. It offers desktop apps for Windows, Mac, and Linux, mobile apps for iOS and Android, a web app, and a terminal app. Integrations include more than 130 native options, thousands of integrations through Zapier and IFTTT, chat bridges for Slack, Microsoft Teams, and Matrix, an email bridge, AI/LLM integration, and a REST API. Authentication options include SAML, OpenID Connect, OAuth social logins, and AD/LDAP sync.

Zulip is used by businesses, research groups, educational institutions, open-source projects, non-profits, governments, and event organizers. It offers free, Standard, Plus, and Enterprise cloud plans, along with self-hosted options. Free or discounted plans are available for most non-business uses.
