WorldCat.org
A global catalog of library materials you can search from a single search box.
WorldCat.org is a discovery service that brings together library collections from around the world in a single search. It helps users locate books, music, video, articles, maps, theses and other materials, including physical items and online resources, and shows which libraries report holding a given item. Selecting a result lists the libraries that own it, with options to access online content, open a nearby library's catalogue, or save the link and ask a local library about interlibrary loan.
The service supports searching across millions of records in many languages, with facets for refining results, citation generation, and lists for saving items of interest. It also provides guidance for school research and genealogy, and highlights titles frequently requested through interlibrary loan. WorldCat.org is provided by OCLC, a nonprofit library organization, and is intended for students, researchers, genealogists, librarians and general library users. An account can be created to manage lists and citations; the pages do not describe paid editions, trials or pricing.
