Wasp

Full-stack TypeScript framework with a high-level configuration layer that connects the UI

Visit Wasp

Wasp is an open-source full-stack TypeScript framework that connects React, Node.js, and Prisma through a high-level configuration layer. Developers define routes, pages, queries, auth, and jobs in *.wasp.ts files alongside their application code, and Wasp compiles this into a deployable app, reducing the manual wiring typically required across frontend, backend, database, and deployment.

Its capabilities include full-stack authentication with username, email, and social methods, type-safe RPC, data models, background jobs with cron and retry, provider-agnostic email sending, typed WebSockets, static rendering for SEO, custom HTTP APIs for REST and webhooks, and type-safe links. The Wasp CLI handles creation, building, and one-command deployment to platforms including Fly, Railway, AWS, GCP, Azure, and self-hosted setups, with a generated Dockerfile for custom hosting. It also provides first-party AI tooling such as rule files, skills, plugins, and an llms.txt built from the documentation.

Wasp is aimed at developers building full-stack TypeScript applications, including those working with AI coding tools. It is released under the MIT License and is not tied to a specific cloud platform or provider, working with any Postgres database.
