VPN.ac
Premium VPN network in 20+ countries.
VPN.ac is a VPN service operated by Netsec Interactive Solutions, an IT security company established in Romania in 2009. Developed in-house and launched at the end of 2012, it encrypts internet traffic, hides the user's real IP address, and protects activity from monitoring, including on public Wi-Fi networks. It uses self-hosted, encrypted DNS resolvers rather than third parties, and states that no activity logging is kept on its servers.
The service supports OpenVPN, IPsec (IKEv2, L2TP), and WireGuard, with encryption options including AES-GCM 256-bit, Elliptic Curve Cryptography, and 4096-bit RSA authentication with PFS. It includes a SecureProxy browser addon, double-hop connections, obfuscation techniques, and shared IP addresses. VPN apps are available for Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, and Linux (beta), with compatibility for third-party clients such as OpenVPN Connect, Tunnelblick, WireGuard, and StrongSwan. Up to 12 simultaneous connections are supported (6 using OpenVPN/IPsec and 6 using WireGuard).
Plans are offered on a subscription basis across one-month, three-month, one-year, and two-year terms, with longer terms priced lower per month. A one-week trial account is available with up to 3 simultaneous connections, and a 7-day money-back guarantee applies. The service covers 21 countries for VPN and 32 for SecureProxy.
