Unbound is an Agent Access Security Broker (AASB) that governs AI coding agents operating with enterprise permissions inside engineering environments. It addresses the visibility gap created by agents that run terminal commands, connect to MCP servers, and inherit developer credentials, giving security teams a control layer for what agents can see, access, and execute.
The platform spans discovery, assessment, and enforcement. Agent Discovery inventories AI coding tools, MCP servers, sub-agents, agent rules, and risky configurations, tracking installation drift. Risk Assessment provides per-developer security posture scores, autonomy and permission analysis, and alerts for risky MCP connections. The Policy Engine applies terminal command allow/deny rules with semantic parsing, MCP connection and action policies, approval workflows for high-risk operations, and a full audit log of agent actions. It supports tools including Cursor, Claude Code, Windsurf, GitHub Copilot, Cline, Roo Code, Gemini CLI, and Codex, and deploys via MDM platforms such as Jamf, Intune, JumpCloud, and Kandji or a lightweight agent.
Unbound is aimed at security teams and engineering leaders in enterprises running AI coding agents. Teams can begin in monitor-only mode and progress through warnings and approvals to blocking as policies mature. The product is SOC 2 compliant and available on AWS Marketplace.
