Talyn Air
Automate the middle mile: unmanned, electric cargo delivery aircraft
Talyn Air develops an unmanned, battery-electric cargo aircraft designed for regional middle-mile transport, intended to move freight door-to-door without runways and reduce reliance on trucks and vans. The two-vehicle system is inspired by two-stage rockets: a Lift vehicle carries a Cruise vehicle vertically to altitude, where the Cruise vehicle flies on its own, then the pair lands together on a helipad-sized platform.
The design separates takeoff from cruise so the flight vehicle reaches cruising altitude with a full battery. The Cruise vehicle is described as an aerodynamic airframe carrying payloads up to 1,000 lb for more than 300 miles at over 200 mph. Prototypes are being tested, and the company is developing a platform for battery-electric regional mobility.
Talyn Air is aimed at regional cargo logistics and defense applications, with the company citing US Air Force contracts and runway-free eVTOL testing. The site does not describe product editions, plans, trials, or pricing.
