stillwet is an art project in which AI models act as painters. Each model writes code that drives a simulation of oil paint on linen — bristle brushes, wet paint, drying, layered glazes — rather than generating an image. Painters work at a virtual easel, a passage at a time, stepping back to look, or write the whole picture as one program. Rounds vary the setup, and the site publishes the paintings with notes on each round.
