Stempad

Write and publish science on a single, collaborative platform

Visit Stempad

Stempad is a browser-based writing and note-taking platform for science and STEM work, combining text, mathematics, diagrams, graphs and AI assistance in a single editor. It is designed to keep equations, drawings, data visualizations and explanatory text together in one document, with options to publish and collaborate in real time. The editor supports LaTeX, Markdown and PDF, and can export documents to LaTeX, Markdown and PDF.

The platform includes a Scratchpad with blocks for inline math, matrices, tables, graphs, chemical structures, diagrams and freehand drawing, alongside AI features such as Copilot, Chat and Search that can aggregate, summarize, generate, suggest and search across math, chemistry and text. It integrates with Google Drive, Notion, Canvas, Blackboard, Overleaf, Benchling, Obsidian and Jupyter Notebooks, and offers workspaces for organizing projects.

Stempad is aimed at students, teachers and researchers working in STEM subjects, as well as teams that need shared scientific documents. It is packaged as a free plan for personal or educational use, a Cloud plan for one user with folder and pad syncing and access to additional AI models, and an Enterprise plan for multi-user organizations with SAML, white labelling, private cloud hosting and custom blocks. An academic discount is available for the Cloud plan, and the Cloud plan includes a free trial.
