Visit Roundcube

Roundcube is a browser-based multilingual IMAP webmail client with an application-like interface, providing the functionality typically expected from a desktop email client. It runs on a standard LAMPP server and is released under the GNU General Public License version 3 or later, with exceptions for skins and plugins.

Core features include MIME and HTML message support, drag-and-drop message management, multiple sender identities, an address book with groups and LDAP connectors, threaded message listing, folder manipulation, message and contact search, spell checking, and canned response templates. It supports shared and global IMAP folders, access control lists, external SMTP servers, built-in caching, import/export functions, and a plug-in API for extensions. Security features include PGP encryption, OAuth/XOAUTH login, brute-force login prevention, XSS protection, and two-factor authentication. A calendar module, advanced search, and multiple account support are available as third-party plugins. The interface is available in over 80 languages with a responsive skin, light and dark modes, and attachment previews.

Roundcube is intended for self-hosted webmail deployments on Apache, Lighttpd, Nginx, IIS, Cherokee, or Hiawatha with PHP 8.1 or greater and a MySQL/MariaDB, PostgreSQL, or SQLite database. It is free and open source software with no paid editions or seat-based licensing described.
