Replicate
Cloud platform for running open-source machine learning models via API
Replicate is a cloud platform for running machine learning models through an API, addressing the infrastructure work involved in serving models such as API server generation, dependencies, model weights, and GPU management. Users can run community-published and proprietary models with one line of code, fine-tune models with their own data, and deploy custom models using Cog, an open-source tool for packaging ML models.
The platform supports image generation, speech, music, video, image restoration and captioning, and large language models. It offers automatic scaling based on demand, logging and monitoring with metrics and per-prediction logs, and prediction throughput controls. Models are accessed via Node, Python, and HTTP clients.
Replicate is aimed at software developers and teams building AI features without deep machine learning expertise. Billing is usage-based: public models are charged by hardware time or by input and output, while private models run on dedicated hardware and are billed for the time instances are online, with fast-booting fine-tunes billed only for active processing time. Enterprise plans add dedicated account management, priority support, higher GPU limits, performance SLAs, onboarding help, and volume discounts.
