Raspberry Pi Foundation
Enabling all young people to realise their full potential through computing
The Raspberry Pi Foundation is a charity focused on helping young people develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence to use computing and digital technologies. It supports teachers and schools with free curricula, classroom resources, and professional development, while also running clubs, competitions, and initiatives for young people outside school. Its work includes research into computing education, covering areas such as programming, gender balance, culturally relevant pedagogy, and AI education.
Key offerings include the Computing Curriculum, Experience AI, Experience CS, and Code Classroom, alongside professional development for teachers. Young people can access coding guides, projects, and activities through Code Club, Coolest Projects, and the Astro Pi Challenge, which involves writing programs and experiments for the International Space Station. The foundation also publishes research and position papers on computing education and AI.
The foundation is aimed at teachers, schools, young people, and youth organisations. Its resources and training are described as free, and it is funded in part by contributions from supporters.
