Formative assessment has never been faster
Plickers is a classroom activity in which students answer questions by holding up printed cards, and the teacher collects the responses by scanning the cards with a phone camera. It is designed for formative assessment and quick checks for understanding during a lesson, without requiring students to use devices.
The activity supports multiple-choice questions that teachers create, with responses captured in real time as the teacher points a phone at the cards from anywhere in the room. Results are available immediately, so teachers can see who needs more practice or is ready to move on. iOS and Android apps are available, and printed cards can be obtained through the site.
