oStorybook is free software for writers, essayists and authors, designed to support the writing process from the initial outline through to the finished work. It is intended to help writers keep track of the storyline as a project develops, and it can also be used in an academic context as a tool for literary study.

The software includes modules for characters, genres, categories and attributes, with shortcuts for creating these elements from the application's menus. It is available as free software, and registration is not required to use it; an account is needed only to ask questions on the help forum. The site provides a download area, news about releases, help and bug-tracking resources, and a newsletter signup. A current version, 6.06, has been published, with a further version planned for later in 2026. Additional information is available through the project's separate site, oStorybook.eu.
