Visit OSForensics

OSForensics is a digital investigation tool for extracting forensic evidence from computers. It addresses the need to find relevant data, identify suspicious files and activity, and manage a case through to reporting. The product line also includes free utilities: OSFMount for mounting disk images in Windows, OSFClone for creating or cloning raw disk images, Volatility Workbench as a graphical interface for memory analysis, and ImageUSB for writing images to multiple USB drives.

Its main capabilities include high-performance file searching and indexing, hash matching, drive signature analysis, e-mail and memory analysis, automatic timeline creation of user activity, and case management with custom reports and narratives. It can extract passwords, decrypt files, and recover deleted files across Windows, Mac, and Linux file systems and Android phones. A bootable USB edition allows running the tool on a machine without an installed operating system.

OSForensics is aimed at digital investigators and forensic examiners. It is available as a free trial and a free edition, alongside subscription and perpetual licenses, both priced per user; a site license is tiered by estimated users within an organization. Each paid license allows installs on two machines plus one USB install, with support and upgrades included for the purchased period.
