osCommerce is a free, open source eCommerce platform and shopping cart that has been in development since 2000. It provides the storefront and shopping cart functionality needed to sell products online, running on PHP 8.3 with support back to PHP 7.4 and MariaDB 10.x. The platform is extensible through an app store offering free and paid apps and design themes, and it supports multiple languages and multiple storefronts managed from a single backend.

The platform includes documented open source code with an API, and payment gateway modules such as PayPal 2.0 and Opayo. App packs are available for retail, wholesale, and enterprise use, with the enterprise pack combining all osCommerce-made apps into a business management solution. osCommerce is offered as a free download that you own and control, with optional hosting, support, and maintenance available through the enterprise offering. Developers can register to create and sell apps and design templates in the app store, and partner options include white label and co-branding arrangements.
