Mailspring is a native desktop email client for Mac, Windows, and Linux that brings multiple accounts into one place. It supports IMAP, Office 365, Gmail, iCloud, FastMail, Outlook.com, and Yahoo!, with a unified inbox and advanced search across all connected accounts. It also offers a signature editor, message translation, spell check and grammar checking powered by LanguageTool, calendar invitations with RSVP, themes including dark mode, and deep platform integration such as taskbar badges on Windows and system tray support on Linux.
The app includes read receipts, link tracking, send later, follow-up reminders, templates, contact and company profiles, and an Activity tab with mailbox insights. It syncs directly via IMAP, CalDAV, and CardDAV, stores credentials in the system keychain, and does not transmit or process mail in the cloud. Mailspring is free for core features, with Pro features available through a monthly subscription and limited free trials of Pro functionality.
