Ma Carte
Mapping tool for creating custom maps and telling geographic stories.
Ma Carte is a mapping tool from IGN for building custom maps and combining them with geographic narratives. It addresses the need to locate addresses, import statistical data, and present territory-related information through text, images, and audio recordings in a single map-based story.
The tool supports map creation, address lookup, data import, and narrative composition, along with 3D mapping and an Atlas for consulting existing maps. Guides cover first steps, importing statistics, and starting a narrative.
Ma Carte is aimed at users who need to produce and share maps, including researchers, public-sector teams, and other organizations working with geographic data. The pages indicate that maps can be created and shared, and that data import is available free of charge; no subscription or edition structure is described.
