Luckydraw
Random drawing and prize selection tool for Slack
Luckydraw is a Slack app that enables teams to conduct random draws directly within a channel conversation. It solves the need for a simple, fair, and transparent way to select winners from a group of participants, eliminating manual processes for tasks such as distributing conference tickets, deciding who buys coffee, or giving away a movie ticket to a team member.
The app is used by typing the command `/luckydraw n` in a Slack channel, where `n` represents the number of winners to be selected. For company-wide draws, the recommended workflow involves creating a temporary channel, having participants join it, and then running the command. The app requires the `@lucky-draw` bot to be invited to private channels and DMs for command usage. Luckydraw does not collect or store any personally identifiable information, user names, or email addresses; it only stores team information and an authentication token necessary for the service to function.
The app is designed for any Slack team that needs to run random draws. The pricing page was not available, so details on free plans, trials, or paid editions are not provided.
