Kid3

An audio tagger.

Visit Kid3

Kid3 is an open-source desktop application for editing metadata tags in audio files, including MP3, Ogg/Vorbis, FLAC, MP4/AAC, Opus, WavPack, WAV, AIFF, Matroska/WebM and tracker modules. It addresses the need to apply the same artist, album, year and genre information across multiple files, such as a full album, without repeated typing, while giving control over both ID3v1 and ID3v2 tags.

The application supports editing ID3v1.1, ID3v2.3 and ID3v2.4 frames and converting between them. It can generate tags from filenames or other tag fields, generate filenames and directories from tags, create playlists, and import album data from gnudb.org, MusicBrainz, Discogs and Amazon. Tags can be exported as CSV, HTML, playlists and Kover XML. Synchronized lyrics and LRC files are supported, and tasks can be automated through QML/JavaScript, D-Bus or the command-line interface. Kid3 runs on Linux, Windows, macOS and Android.

Kid3 is distributed as free, open-source software under the GNU General Public License. It is available as source code, platform binaries, Flatpak, and packages for various Linux distributions, with separate KDE and Qt builds plus a command-line interface package.
