Kestral is a project memory layer that keeps documentation, tasks, and AI coding agents aligned as work progresses. It addresses the problem of project knowledge falling out of sync: its agent creates and updates tasks as work completes, and it generates personalized briefs that surface priorities, open blockers, and current project status.
The platform provides a searchable knowledge base, automated task coordination, real-time insights, and integrations. It supplies coding agents with current project context for planning the day, updating tasks, and closing the loop. A plugin installed via a shell script connects Kestral to Cursor, Claude Code, and Codex, with sync hooks that nudge the agent after push and PR events. Setup runs on macOS and Linux.
Kestral is aimed at product teams and startups and enterprises working in high-trust, security-conscious environments; it is SOC 2 Type 2 compliant. Sign-up and demo booking are available, but the pages do not describe a free plan, trial, editions, or seat-based or usage-based packaging.
