instant.page
Make your site pages load instantly and boost conversions.
instant.page is a small JavaScript snippet that preloads pages just before a user clicks them, using just-in-time preloading to reduce perceived latency and improve page load times. It preloads only the HTML when there is a good chance a user will visit a page, using passive event listeners and requestIdleCallback to keep pages smooth, and it respects data saver mode.
On desktop, preloading starts after a link has been hovered for 65 ms, or when the user starts pressing the mouse button; links can also be preloaded as soon as they become visible. On mobile, preloading begins when the user touches the display, or when links become visible. The snippet is about 1 kB, loads after everything else, and is released under the MIT license as free and open source.
It is intended for website owners and developers who want to reduce page load latency. The snippet is added to a site's HTML just before the closing body tag, and the pages indicate it is free to use.
