iDempiere is a free, open-source ERP, CRM, and SCM system founded in 2011 and maintained by a community of specialists, implementers, developers, and end users. It is based on Compiere/Adempiere with a newer architecture using OSGi, Jetty, ZK, and Maven. The system is positioned as both a business suite and a development platform, with a dictionary that lets users create new windows with functionality quickly. It supports multiple entities (sets of books) within a single login and includes an enterprise-quality accounting system.

The platform covers enterprise resource planning, customer relationship management, and supply chain management. It runs on Linux, Windows, and Mac OS, and requires Java OpenJDK 11 or later with either PostgreSQL 10 or later or Oracle Database 12c or later. The project aims for a slim core surrounded by plugins to support additional business needs, with an ecosystem that includes BI, workflow, and portals. iDempiere is available as free open-source software with no licensing cost, supported through community forums, documentation, and tickets.
