Gridsome is a free and open-source Vue.js-powered framework for building static generated websites and apps. It uses the Jamstack architecture (JavaScript, APIs, Markup) to pre-render HTML, automatically code-splits, prefetches links, and optimizes images for fast performance. It can pull data from headless CMSs, APIs, databases, Markdown files, and other sources via source plugins, and uses a local GraphQL data layer for querying. Sites are deployed as static files to CDNs, requiring no servers or databases.
