Get Localization

Get Localization was a localization service for translating apps and websites, started in 2009 as a side project supporting mobile app development. It combined crowdsourced localization with a network of professional translators and was used to localize more than 10,000 apps, including games and other titles. The service shut down on May 31, 2019; remaining subscriptions were canceled and were not renewed, and workspaces remained accessible until that date. New professional translation orders were no longer accepted.

The platform provided a Workspace for managing localization projects, along with a Get Localization for Photoshop plug-in for localized graphics. It also offered guidance on writing content for localization, using hreflang attributes for localized website versions, and working with SVG graphics. Packaging details such as plans, trials, or seat-based pricing are not specified; the pages note only that subscriptions existed and were canceled at closure.
