Gephi

The Open Graph Viz Platform

Visit Gephi

Gephi is open-source software for visualizing and exploring graphs and networks. It is designed to handle networks ranging from ten to ten million nodes, helping users discover structural patterns in connected data such as social networks and biological systems.

The software includes built-in algorithms for community detection, centrality measures, and clustering analysis. Users can manipulate data through a spreadsheet interface, import multiple formats, and filter networks interactively. Visualization features include layout algorithms such as Force Atlas 2, Früchterman-Reingold, and OpenOrd, with customizable styling for nodes and edges based on data attributes. High-resolution exports are available in PNG, PDF, and SVG formats. Gephi is available as a desktop application, and a web-based version called Gephi Lite is also offered.

Gephi is intended for researchers and analysts working with network data across disciplines such as sociology and biology. It is free and open-source under the GPL license, with no paid editions or seat-based pricing. The project is community-maintained and accepts donations to support development.
