Free Manga Downloader

Free Manga Downloader (FMD) is a volunteer-run desktop application for downloading manga from a range of online sources. It is intended as an alternative to reading manga through online readers, allowing users to collect chapters locally. The project is maintained through a blog that publishes release announcements, FAQs, donation information, and a place for bug reports and feature requests.

FMD includes a Favorites module for tracking manga, an updater for applying releases, and support for multiple download and update scripts tied to specific sites. It can convert downloaded images to zip, cbz, or pdf, and offers options such as automatic downloading of favorites after a check, custom genre filtering, and multi-threaded favorites. The interface is available in several languages, including English, German, Portuguese, Turkish, Indonesian, and Arabic. The software runs on Windows and does not require administrator rights.

The project is free to use, with donations optional. It is maintained by volunteers, and contributions can also be made through translation, bug hunting, or development.
