Flower is an AI research lab and platform provider focused on collaborative and federated AI, where data remains distributed across participants rather than being collected centrally. Its SuperGrid product is a platform for running federated learning federations, addressing the need to train models across decentralized data sources while retaining control over that data.
SuperGrid provides a web UI for managing federations, supports both public and private federations, and includes audit logs and role-based access control. The broader Flower ecosystem includes Flower Hub, a marketplace of community-built federated and agent apps, along with Flower Models and Flower Agent. Integrations and examples span frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn, XGBoost, JAX, Hugging Face Transformers, and MONAI, with capabilities including secure aggregation and differential privacy.
SuperGrid is packaged in Pro and Max editions, with monthly or yearly billing and usage-based monthly credits. The Pro edition includes unlimited federations, the web UI, public and private federations, audit logs, and RBAC. The Max edition adds advanced RBAC, verified apps, confidential compute, private apps on Flower Hub, and SOC2 reports, and is available through contact with sales.
