Finch is an employment data platform that gives applications a unified API for payroll, HR, and benefits systems. It connects to providers such as BambooHR, Gusto, Paychex, Paycor, Rippling, UKG Pro, and Workday, and normalizes their data into one standard format. The platform handles integration build and maintenance, replacing manual file uploads and SFTP with a connection setup flow that lets customers onboard employers quickly.
The API covers organization and employee data, payroll and tax information, deductions and contributions, benefits plans and enrollments, and payroll-to-recordkeeper connectivity. Finch Benefits, currently in Early Access, provides programmatic access to plan catalogs, enrollment records, and covered dependents from benefits administration systems. The platform is built for use cases including 401(k) and retirement, health benefits, ICHRA, HR technology, financial wellness, finance and ERP, compliance SaaS, and insurance. Security features include SOC 2 Type II compliance, CCPA and GDPR compliance, AES-256 encryption at rest, TLS 1.2+ in transit, and 24/7 monitoring.
Finch is aimed at developers and product teams building integrations with employment systems, as well as companies offering benefits, retirement, insurance, HR, or compliance services. A sandbox is available for developers, and a Starter plan is offered for developers who want to get started quickly with no commitments, providing access to 24 providers and up to 15 connections.
