Feyn trains custom machine learning models on a customer's own data, addressing the limitations of relying on general-purpose models that do not learn from a company's specific data and expertise. The service is designed so that the resulting model continues to learn in production, runs faster and cheaper inference, and gives the customer ownership of the model weights.
The engagement follows four steps: Discover, where the current system is reviewed and quality metrics are defined; Refine, where the existing stack is improved and training samples are prepared; Specialize, where a model is developed for the task using the customer's data; and Compound, where the model keeps learning in production as new cases feed back into a training loop. Feyn also publishes open source work, including MultiMatte, FeyNoBg for background removal, and SQRL.
