DBpedia
A crowd-sourced open knowledge graph extracted from Wikimedia projects.
DBpedia is a community project that extracts structured data from Wikimedia projects such as Wikipedia and Wikidata and publishes it as an open knowledge graph on the Web. The data is served as Linked Data and can be queried with SPARQL, making it possible to collect, organize, share, and search information in machine-readable form.
The project offers a cross-domain ontology, a Databus data cataloging and versioning platform, and datasets covering data access, versioning, quality control, ontology visualization, and linking infrastructure. Data is hosted using OpenLink Virtuoso, providing a SPARQL endpoint and HTTP access to RDF representations. Language chapters support extraction from language-specific Wikipedia versions.
DBpedia is intended for researchers, developers, and practitioners working with knowledge graphs, as well as organizations in industry and academia. It is supported by the DBpedia Association, founded in 2014, and a community of contributors active since 2007. Membership conditions are available on request.
