D2 is an open-source diagramming language with a simple syntax for producing diagrams from text. It supports multiple layout engines, themes, sketch mode, animations, LaTeX, containers, images and icons, imports, variables, globs, autoformatting, a language API, interactive tooltips and links, UML class diagrams, sequence diagrams, adaptive dark mode, and extensions. It runs on macOS, Linux and Windows and is available through package managers such as Homebrew and Winget, with official editor support for VSCode and Vim.
