ClamWin Free Antivirus is an open source antivirus program for Microsoft Windows, including Windows 10 through 98 and Windows Server 2012, 2008, and 2003. It detects viruses and spyware using the ClamAV scanning engine and is distributed under the GNU General Public License. The program does not include an on-access real-time scanner; files must be scanned manually to detect threats.
Features include a scanning scheduler, automatic downloads of regularly updated virus databases, a standalone virus scanner, and right-click menu integration with Windows Explorer. An add-in for Microsoft Outlook removes virus-infected attachments automatically. The software is available as a free download with an installer and open source code.
