Axmud
A modern Multi-User Dungeon (MUD) client.
Axmud is a Multi-User Dungeon (MUD) client written in Perl 5 and Gtk3, designed for connecting to text-based multiplayer worlds. It handles connections over Telnet, SSH and SSL, and renders ANSI, xterm, truecolour, OSC and RGB colours. Protocol support covers MXP and GMCP, with partial Pueblo support, alongside partial VT100 emulation.
Its feature set includes class-based triggers, aliases, macros, timers and hooks, a graphical automapper, and over 100 pre-configured worlds. Scripting is available through several approaches, including the Axbasic language, and the client can be customised via the command line or its GUI. Native support for visually-impaired users is included, with a separate optimised version and text-to-speech engine selection.
Axmud is known to work on MS Windows, Linux and *BSD. It is distributed as a Windows installer, .DEB and .RPM packages, or source code, and is released under an open-source licence.
