Avaaz

Avaaz is a global web movement that organizes citizens to take action on issues such as corruption, poverty, conflict and climate change. It aims to close the gap between the world as it is and the one most people want by combining individual efforts into collective campaigns. Actions include signing petitions, funding media campaigns, emailing and lobbying governments, and organizing offline protests and events.

The platform operates in 22 languages across 193 nations, with a core team on 6 continents and thousands of volunteers. Members can start their own petitions through the Community Petitions platform, explore member campaigns, and join live campaigns on issues including human rights, migration, climate and environment. Campaign ideas are polled and tested with member samples before being taken to scale, and priorities are set through all-member polls. Avaaz is member-funded and does not accept funds from governments or corporations. A security contact is provided for reporting vulnerabilities in Avaaz systems or applications.
