A Book Like Foo
Book recommendations that don't suck. Magically disambiguate your weird taste in books
A book recommendation engine that finds books tailored to specific tastes and themes from a database of around 200,000 titles. It builds a query from book characteristics such as genre, time period, emotions and authorship, then travels through relationships between titles to find 'co-affections' — similarities between books — and ranks results by popularity, themes, narratives and authorship. The site is maintained by a single creator, James Padolsey, and is funded personally with donations accepted via ko-fi.
